He has received £4·8s as ‘my parte of the portingall prises’, and asks Thomas Pory to return this money to England for him, half to be given to the poor of St Saviour parish, the other half to the poor of Watermen's Hall. He asks his wife to pay custom duties on the twelve pounds of tobacco ‘wch I brought home in Sr Walter Rawleis voyage’
